Job description
Overview

We are seeking a reliable, keen and hardworking individual who demonstrates a good natural rapport with children to oversee the day to day running of one of our clubs. You will be based at any of our 3 clubs: Oakridge, Winklebury and Kempshott. Level 2/3 in a childcare qualification and childcare experience are desired. Full training will be given and you must be willing to undertake a relevant course. Hours are 3.15-6pm, Monday-Friday term time only. Holiday club hours are available if desired.

Responsibilities
  • Collect children from school and escort them safely to club
  • Prepare a light tea
  • Set up the room with relevant play activities
  • Follow registration procedures
  • Liaise with school staff, parents and other professionals forming good, strong relationships
  • Direct and oversee other staff members ensuring they follow policies and procedures
  • Follow all policies and procedures and demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • Keep confidential information within the club setting
  • Follow Safeguarding procedures as detailed in the policy to the highest standard
  • administer first aid as needed appropriately
  • Provide children with a safe, high quality and caring setting
  • Plan and prepare appropriate play opportunities
  • Listen to and respond to any queries or concerns from all within the setting and deal with appropriately
Qualifications

Level 2/3 in a childcare qualification and childcare experience is desired. Full training will be given and the candidate must be willing to undertake a relevant course.

Additional Information

Training and guidance will be given throughout employment. All successful applicants will be subject to a clear Enhanced DBS certificate and satisfactory references.
