Job summary

A community-focused organization in Nottingham is seeking a dedicated Play Leader to work 25 hours per week during term time. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering play activities and upholding core values of caring and respect. Candidates must have experience working with children and a Level 3 qualification in early years or childcare. This role offers opportunities for additional hours during school holidays.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in early years, play work or childcare provision.
  • Paediatric first aid qualification, or willingness to gain.

Overview

YMCA Robin Hood runs before and after school clubs at primary schools around Nottingham. We are looking for a new Play Leader to join our fantastic team working 25 hours per week in term time.

Working Hours

Term Time: 7.30am - 9am and 2.45pm - 6pm Monday - Friday. Additional hours during school holidays at our summer holiday club, Camp Williams if you are available and wish to work in the school holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver exceptional play activities as part of a team to maintain high standards of play.
  • Champion our Core Values of Caring, Respect, Responsibility and Honesty throughout play.
  • Maintain excellent communication with parents, carers, children, colleagues and school staff.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar childcare setting or transferable experience working with children.
  • Level 3 qualification in early years, play work or childcare provision (or willingness to gain qualification).
  • Paediatric first aid qualification (or willingness to gain). Enhanced DBS check required.
