Job Title: Plater (Submarines)

Working Pattern: Days

Working location: Derby

We have an exciting opportunity for a Plater to join our Submarines business. Primary Components Operational Business Unit is part of the Rolls Royce Submarine Business. Primary Components is responsible for the manufacture and delivery of the Nuclear Steam Raising Plant.

What you will be doing:
  • Manufacture of high integrity components of varying sizes to tight engineering tolerances.
  • Use of all hand tools, torque wrenches and measuring equipment, use of overhead cranes and manipulation equipment.
  • Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and processes, undertaking training where necessary.
  • Experience of large vessel manufacture in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Awareness of HS&E requirements.
