Job summary

Job description
Position Summary

A Plasterer will deliver a wide range of plastering methods across Great Places properties, working with a diverse customer base. Key duties involve preparing surfaces, mixing plaster, and applying base and finishing layers to walls and ceilings, both indoor and outdoor. The role also includes repairing damaged areas as part of a team, delivering excellent customer service and high productivity to complete jobs on the first try.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare un‑plastered or previously plastered surfaces
  • Mix and apply plaster to walls and ceilings, including base and finish layers
  • Fit and finish plasterboard to walls and ceilings (multi‑board finish, float & skim, dot & dab)
  • Patch plastering and tile grouting for bath and shower areas
  • Conduct mould washes and stain blocking
  • Maintain and clean customer homes after each job
  • Work remotely using a mobile device for job allocation and data transfer
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 in plastering or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in float & skim, dot & dab, and mechanical fixing of plasterboards
  • Experience with multi‑surface skim and damp‑proofing using plastic membranes
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Full clean UK driving licence and minimum 2 years driving experience
  • Knowledge of construction health, safety & welfare legislation
  • Mobile working capability using a hand‑held device for ICT tasks

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary £30,632, rising to £32,245 upon successful completion of the 6‑month probation period.

Working Hours & Location

39‑hour week: Monday–Thursday 8 am–4:30 pm, Friday 8 am–3:30 pm.

Additional Driving Requirements
