Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inspect cylinders, valves, and packs as per operational standards.
  • Refurbish and re-validate industrial products effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Identify faults and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Assist with other operational tasks as required.

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen at a Stoke‑on‑Trent based cylinder re‑test facility for a Plant Operator / Cylinder Test Operator to join a well‑established industrial operation. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands‑on, quality‑focused work in a safety‑critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cylinder, valve and pack inspection
  • Refurbishment and re‑validation of industrial and integrated products
  • Maintaining a strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements
  • Fault inspection, reporting and escalation
  • Flexibility to support other operational duties when required
About You

You will have:

  • A minimum of City & Guilds in a mechanical discipline or NVQ equivalent (mandatory)
  • A proactive, can‑do attitude and ability to work on your own initiative
  • A positive, energetic and reliable approach to work
  • A strong desire to learn and develop
  • A forklift truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
