Qualifications

Salary up to £46,000 (incl. 30% shift allowance) depending on experience

Location Miskin

Renishaw is looking to recruit a Plant Maintenance Engineer. The role requires you to work as part of a 3‑shift operation, with the responsibility for diagnosing and correcting faults on start‑of‑the‑art CNC equipment, including the anodising plant and compressed air system. Alongside this, the engineer is also responsible for scheduled maintenance of the equipment and will be involved in improvement projects and follow‑up work.

As the successful candidate, you will work alongside a friendly and diverse team to meet the team goals in supporting the production teams across site. You will work from a newly installed maintenance workshop, and help the team develop the skills and tooling required to keep production running.

Responsibilities
  • Attend equipment breakdowns, diagnose and rectify in a timely, safe manner.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance on equipment at either monthly, 6‑monthly or yearly intervals.
  • Carry out follow up work required in the maintenance of the equipment.
  • Assist the team with project work that includes new machine installs, equipment modification and H &amp S actions.
  • Deliver quality work, flagging any issues or follow up work required to the supervision team.
  • Use CMMS to update job progress, book out spare parts and log any defects.
Key Requirements
  • A minimum of ONC/City and Guilds equivalents in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience within an engineering maintenance function.
  • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety within an Engineering environment.
  • Computer literate, to include basic Microsoft products, and computerised maintenance management systems.
Desirable
  • Use of PLCs and ladder logic.
  • Good knowledge/proven experience of electrical diagnostics on motors/servos/drives/NC.
