Job description
Overview

We are supporting a major Scottish overhead line (OHL) infrastructure programme and are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join the delivery team. This is a landmark project involving the construction of 440 new towers, extensive access track development, and large-scale associated civil works.

Responsibilities
  • Leading all planning activities across a multi-year OHL construction programme.
  • Managing project controls and schedule integrity using Primavera P6.
  • Overseeing planning inputs for tower erection, civil works, and access routes.
  • Coordinating with engineering, construction, environmental and commercial teams.
  • Ensuring programme risks, delays and forecasts are clearly reported.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in Civils/Construction, ideally major infrastructure or highways.
  • Proven experience leading planning on multi-discipline or linear infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in P6 and robust project controls principles.
  • Comfortable working on remote sites and managing large volumes of programme data.
  • Candidates based in Scotland or willing to relocate (weekly commuting not ideal).
Working pattern
  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
  • Option of 4 days on site + 1 day from home
  • Accommodation can be provided in purpose-built project village (if opting for accommodation-inclusive rate)
