Planner – Central London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Town Planner to join a highly regarded planning consultancy based in Central London. This firm works across a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, mixed‑use, and regeneration schemes, offering exposure to some of the most high‑profile developments in the capital and across the UK.

The successful candidate will join an established team of planning professionals who advise a wide variety of clients, from developers and investors to landowners and local authorities. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment that encourages professional development, career progression, and innovative thinking.

The Role

As a Planner, you’ll :

  • Manage and assist with a wide range of planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals.
  • Contribute to strategic planning advice and policy representations on behalf of clients.
  • Liaise with local authorities, external consultants, and key stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Support senior colleagues on complex and high‑value projects while taking responsibility for your own caseload.
  • Gain exposure to clients, site work, and committee representation as your role develops.
About You
  • MRTPI qualified, or actively working towards chartered status within the next 12 months.
  • Experience in a Local Authority planning department (ideally within a London Borough) is essential; any private sector experience would be advantageous but not required.
  • A strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policy frameworks, and development management processes.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
