Pipefitting & Welding Trainer

Location: Workington

Salary: £27,000 - £39,400 + £6,000 Welcome Bonus + 28% Employer Pension + 42 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Full Teacher Training + CPD Opportunities

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver practical training sessions in pipefitting, welding, and related trades.
  • Assess learners, provide feedback, and track progress against competency standards.
  • Plan and adjust training programs to meet industry requirements and learner needs.
  • Ensure a safe, compliant workshop environment and promote best practices in welding and pipefitting.
  • Collaborate with engineering and teaching staff to support student outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Pipefitter, Welder, or Industrial Plumber with hands-on trade skills.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, or supporting apprentices is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom/workshop management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications/certifications in welding and pipefitting (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Ability to work in a blended learning environment and adapt to learner needs.
