Job description

Our client, a leading manufacturing client based north of York, are looking to recruit a Pipe Welder / Fabriactor to join the business. This recruitment drive is due to order books continually expanding and needing additional staff to manage the workload.

This is a permanent role available for an immediate start.

The successful candidates will be required to produce a range of components including frames/ skids and specialised tooling from 316 Stainless, Duplex, Inconel and Aluminium using MIG and TIG Processes.

Candidates will be Time Served with demonstrable experience working the above processes and materials. Experience working to ASME IX standards and previous codings will be highly advantageous.

Hours

Mon - Thurs (Apply online only) / Friday 08:30 - 1600

OT is also available all week paid at premium rates.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs welding to achieve qualifications in ISO BS EN and ASME IX
• Experience in high quality welding of stainless steels, Duplex, Inconel and Aluminium
• Must be proficient and familiar in understanding fabrication and welding prints
• Types of welding include MAG, TIG MIG and general welding in accordance with BS EN ISO 15614 and ASME IX
• Full penetration pipe welding on exotic metals to strict criteria
• Ensure quality standards are met and inspection criteria are achieved
• Must be willing to complete continuous codes and procedures
• Fettling to a high standard of welded components

Skills & Qualifications

• Ideally candidates will be Time Served in an Welding / Fabrication discipline
• Experienced in MIG / TIG Welding
• Experienced working with Stainless, Duplex, Inoconel and Aluminium
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and sketches
