Here, you will be responsible for arranging the Professional Indemnity insurances (as well as potentially some other financial lines covers) on behalf of a prestigious client list. It is worth noting that rather than looking after solicitors and law firms’ insurances, here you will be dealing with clients from such varied industries as Food & Beverage, Engineering and Life Sciences - many of whom will have complex global exposures.

Working with Account Executives, Directors and Corporate Account Managers (who deal with clients’ Property, Liability and Fleet covers, for example), you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of clients’ insurance programmes. You’ll build a detailed knowledge of your clients’ businesses and exposures to risks, and should any gaps in cover become apparent, develop innovative ways to mitigate these. As well as managing existing business, you will also be responsible for the marketing and placement of new business accounts won by colleagues.

Ideally, you will have extensive experience within PI and the wider Financial Lines market, but we are certainly keen to hear from ‘general practitioners’ from a miscellaneous commercial / corporate background, who are keen to specialise in this fascinating niche.

Alongside excellent communication skills, and the ability to build a professional rapport with senior personnel at clients from a range of sectors, you must also be highly numerate and be able to produce a variety of reports and management information. Just as importantly, you must be well-organised, have a keen eye for detail, and the first-class task-management skills in order to work on a variety of projects at any one time.
