Overview

Assess and treat own caseload of patients who may have complex presentations, and maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner. To treat musculoskeletal out-patients who present with: a variety of acute and chronic pain patterns; significant physical impairments due to pain or injury; psychological issues; post-operative rehabilitation requirements. And to ensure effective communication where this is impaired due to pain and/or fear. A high standard of clinical work is required which will also include active participation in clinical teaching and in-service training sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat own caseload of patients with complex presentations; maintain professional records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Treat musculoskeletal out-patients presenting with acute and chronic pain, significant physical impairments, post-operative rehabilitation needs, and related psychological considerations.
  • Ensure effective communication where pain or fear impairs understanding.
  • Maintain a high standard of clinical practice and contribute to clinical teaching and in-service training sessions.
  • Join and work within a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across a diverse caseload.
