Role Overview:

We are recruiting two PHP/Laravel Developers with strong shared core development capabilities, but with different areas of specialism:

• Role A – UI/UX-Focused Developer: Emphasis on user experience, front-end quality, and interface design.
• Role B – Integration & Testing-Focused Developer: Emphasis on system integrations, reliability, automated testing, and quality assurance.

Both roles will work closely with our new product, design, and engineering teams to build robust, scalable energy software solutions.

Core Responsibilities (Both Roles)

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Write clean, efficient, secure, and reusable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs within an MVC architecture.

Required Skills (Both Roles)

• Solid experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and MVC architecture.
• Experience using Git or other version control systems.
• Awareness of application security and scalability best practices.

Nice to Have (Either Role)

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms or DevOps tooling.
• Domain experience in data-driven or SaaS platforms.

Role A – UI/UX-Focused PHP/Laravel Developer

Additional Responsibilities

• Work closely with designers and product owners to implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive front-end implementations.
• Continuously improve usability, accessibility, and performance of user-facing features.
• Ensure a consistent visual and interaction experience across applications.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js or React.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and provide constructive feedback.

Role B – Integration & Testing-Focused PHP/Laravel Developer

Additional Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain integrations with third-party APIs and external systems.
• Implement and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and regression testing).
• Support system reliability through structured testing, validation, and monitoring.
• Assist with deployment pipelines and environment stability.
• Identify integration risks early and propose robust technical solutions.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience integrating third-party APIs and services.
• Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing strategies.
• Understanding of system reliability, error handling, and performance testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or DevOps practices (advantageous).
