A healthcare provider in Leyland is seeking a Phlebotomist/Healthcare Assistant to join its Nursing Team. The role requires performing phlebotomy procedures and assisting with HCA duties across multiple sites. Candidates must be adaptable, reliable, and focused on patient care. We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Phlebotomist / Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our organisation. This is a key role within the Nursing Team, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care across our practices. The post holder will work across multiple sites and must be adaptable, reliable, and patient-focused.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Perform phlebotomy procedures in line with clinical guidelines
Support the Nursing Team with HCA duties as required
Work within busy phlebotomy clinics across all sites
Undertake a small number of home visits when required
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times
Maintain accurate clinical records and follow infection control procedures
Our organsational family consists of 30 plus clinical staff members who work closely alongside our team of 30 administrative staff. With our own PCNstatus we comprise of 5 surgeries; Buckshaw Village, Adlington MedicalCentre, Eaves Lane, Croston Medical Centre and finally The village surgery atLostock Hall. The post holder works under indirect supervision of the nurse managerand undertakes task and duties delegated by the practice nurse team leader or asuitably qualified regulated professional. They will work collaboratively withthe general practice team to meet the needs of patients, following policy andprocedures while providing utmost patient care in their phlebotomy clinics.
Phlebotomy clinics operate from all sites. Clinics can be busy, therefore the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care is essential.
The post holder will work across multiple sites and will be required to undertake a number of home visits as part of the role.
