Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Phlebotomist / Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our organisation. This is a key role within the Nursing Team, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care across our practices. The post holder will work across multiple sites and must be adaptable, reliable, and patient-focused.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures in line with clinical guidelines
  • Support the Nursing Team with HCA duties as required
  • Work within busy phlebotomy clinics across all sites
  • Undertake a small number of home visits when required
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and follow infection control procedures
Job Responsibilities

The post holder works under indirect supervision of the nurse manager and undertakes tasks and duties delegated by the practice nurse team leader or a suitably qualified regulated professional. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures while providing utmost patient care in their phlebotomy clinics.

Phlebotomy clinics operate from all sites. Clinics can be busy, therefore the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care is essential.

The post holder will work across multiple sites and will be required to undertake a number of home visits as part of the role.
