Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Practice Nurse and strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols, the Phlebotomist will assist the Practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of Phlebotomy Services and contribute to the effectiveness of the team.

Under the guidance of the Lead Nurse, undertake any other tasks associated with supporting the Nursing Team which may include, but are not limited to-
Stocking Clinical rooms with supplies
Undertaking Stock Checks
Person Specification:
You should have the ability to communicate well and have a pleasant and articulate manner
Able to work in a busy environment
Team player with excellent communication skills
Good time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively
Good standard of education including qualification in English and Maths
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Excellent interpersonal skills
Broad knowledge and ideally experience of phlebotomy in a primary care environment
Use of Clinical IT systems
Knowledge of Information Governance and Caldicott Principles
Understanding of Clinical Governance
Experience of working in a GP Practice (Desirable)
