These posts are pivotal inensuring patient safety, data integrity, and the smooth running of ourexpanding portfolio of trials across Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Experiencein clinical trials would be an advantage however is not a requirement as allnecessary training will be provided.
Asa team player you'll work closely with your fellow band 6 colleagues toensure consistency, innovation, and shared best practice across the threehospital sites.
Themain duties in this role are to:
Lead and inspire: Manage either ourbusy dispensaries (LGI or St Jamess) or our admin and finance team,providing line management and support across three hospital sites.
Drive patient safety: Take the leadin processing trial amendments, ensuring procedures are updated to reflectprotocol changes.
Keep trials running smoothly:Allocate work, oversee pharmacy set-up, and manage ongoing trial operations.
Champion compliance: Collect andreport quality and performance data, ensuring trials meet the higheststandards.
Collaborate widely: Liaise withexternal Sponsors, research nurses, research assistants, aseptics pharmacy,and the Research & Innovation team.
Support trials dispensary services:Contribute to accuracy checking of IMPs as part of regular service slots.
Be a people manager: Provide HRsupport, nurture your team, and ensure everyone feels valued and supported.

Keyresponsibilities:
Workindependently under the guidance of SOPs, GMP, and COSHH regulations, whileproviding leadership and direction to staff within the department
Delivera high-quality specialist technical service to wards, departments, andoutpatient areas, ensuring excellent patient care and service efficiency
Maintainthe highest professional standards and ensure full compliance with statutoryregulations, pharmaceutical legislation, and the Health and Safety at WorkAct
Leadon the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of technical and support staffwithin the assigned area
Provideline management, appraisal, and ongoing support for staff, fostering apositive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
Identifyindividual and team training needs, develop tailored training plans, and actas the Key Trainer, ensuring all staff are trained in safe and effectiveworking practices
Contributeto the development, writing, implementation, and monitoring of SOPs andprocedures, working collaboratively with colleagues and managers
Ensureall departmental work is completed within agreed timescales, maintaining highstandards of quality and accuracy
Managedepartmental resources effectively, ensuring best use of staff, equipment,and materials
Leadquality monitoring activities, including error reporting, environmentalcontrols, and turnaround times, ensuring outcomes are reviewed and reportedappropriately
Produceand present monthly workload and performance statistics
Playan active role in service development, supporting innovation, processimprovement, and the smooth implementation of change
Toforge links nationally and regionally with other technicians in your area inorder to share best practice.
Developefficient communication channels with the rest of pharmacy to ensure a goodunderstanding of the service and the roles and responsibilities of staff
Tocoordinate cover for annual leave and lieu time
