Responsibilities

• Pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
• Work flexible shifts, with a requirement for weekend working.
• Provide a warm and friendly customer experience in the in-store Pharmacy.
• Discuss personal health issues, resolve customer problems and recommend the right products.
• Accurately assemble and process prescriptions.
• Drive awareness of all extra services offered in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
• Support the Pharmacist with delivery and effective record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
• Understand and follow the strict Standard Operating Procedures.
• Collect the customer's prescription from their doctor's surgery on their behalf and bring it to the store ready for collection.
• Complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and subsequently train as a Dispensing Assistant.
