Full Time - 37.5 Hours

Rivers Hospital, Sawbridgeworth

Ramsay Health Care’s Rivers Hospital in Sawbridgeworth, has a vacancy for a Pharmacy Assistant to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department. This is a full time 37.5 hour role to support the Pharmacy team in the provision of pharmacy services for the hospital.

As a key member of the department, you will support the Pharmacy Manager and Team Leader in the provision of pharmacy services, including ordering, stock control and preparation of drugs and medicines. This will include providing advice to patients and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products (within the limits of your role), and ensuring accurate, legal dispensing and issuing of prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients.

Qualifications
  • Clear and confident communication skills, patient-focused, with a warm, considerate and empathetic character.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently; the ability to make decisions and use your initiative.
  • Passion to deliver excellent care in a rewarding and emotionally challenging environment.
  • Flexible and positive attitude.
  • NVQ2 Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
  • Sound educational background with GCSE level C or above (or equivalent) or proven numeracy/literacy skills to an acceptable level.
