Job summary

A pharmacy service provider in Hull is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join their hospital outpatient pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services and experience in a customer-focused environment. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, managing stock, and supporting the pharmacy operations. This role is contracted for 26 hours over 4 days.

  • Evidence of relevant qualifications will be required for the successful candidate.

Overview

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Have you considered working in a hospital outpatient pharmacy? Rowlands Pharmacy are currently looking for an experienced NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services to work as a Pharmacy Assistant in the Hull hospital pharmacy. You will participate in all branch processes and establish relationships with customers, patients, healthcare professionals and Trust colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Dispensing medication on outpatient prescriptions
  • Stock ordering and management
  • Invoicing and financing deliveries
  • All other duties associated with working in a busy outpatient pharmacy
Qualifications
  • NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or an accredited equivalent course
  • Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) qualification
  • Evidence of qualifications held will be required for the successful candidate
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and the ability to handle medications accurately
