Overview

This job is with Badham Pharmacy, a well known local community pharmacy with branches across Gloucestershire & Bristol. This vacancy is at the Filwood branch in Knowle, Bristol (approximately 10 minutes from motorway access M5/M32). The role is full-time Monday to Friday 08:30-18:00, with some Saturday work 08:30-13:00 on a rota basis. Part-time applicants will be considered; please state availability in your application.

The branch offers services such as hypertension, pharmacy first, contraception and NMS, with scope to develop services further to include travel vaccines and more. The branch recently moved to the Pharmacy X system for dispensing, allowing pharmacists more time to carry out essential services in the community. Since the launch of Pharmacy First in 2024, there is an opportunity to join an award-winning, innovative, expanding family-run business with branches across Gloucestershire & Bristol.

We are seeking a commercially focused pharmacist with excellent clinical skills who can communicate effectively with customers, staff, GPs and other healthcare professionals. You will lead by example with excellent customer service to provide the best possible healthcare services to communities in and around Gloucestershire. This branch is suitable for a newly qualified pharmacist or someone with more experience.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the role of responsible pharmacist at the pharmacy
• Manage the safe and effective delivery of all pharmaceutical services at branch level, including blood pressure, contraceptive services, flu jabs and all Pharmacy First services
• Maintain and improve peoples' health by promoting Healthy Living Pharmacy services
• Ensure the effective and efficient running of the pharmacy, leading by example
• Ensure the pharmacy engages with all commissioned services and complies with the quality framework
• Develop the pharmacy business through relevant initiatives
• Provide strong leadership of a team of technicians, dispensers and counter assistants
