Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Hollesley Bay. HMP Hollesley Bay is a category D Prison located in Woodbridge, Norfolk. Housing around 460 patients who are working towards release. Within this role, you will work with an established Pharmacy team dispensing medication, as well as delivering medication reviews and clinical screening across both HMP Hollesley Bay and HMP Warren Hill.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

This position is full-time, working 37.5 hours across 5 days. You will receive an annual salary up to £55,941 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK due to the nature of the role. Offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Ensure the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service
  • Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensure a safe and modern medicines management service
  • Lead a team of Pharmacy technicians
Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered Pharmacist holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
  • Ideally, at least 1 year's experience in a hospital setting
