Overview

Job Title: Personnel Security, Investigations and Insider Risk Lead

Location: Any UK Digital Intelligence site. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Up to £65,000+ dependent on skills and experience

Responsibilities
  • Lead on all aspects of personnel security across the Digital Intelligence business
  • Develop and implement a Security investigations capability to ensure incident response, subsequent investigations and recovery are managed in accordance with BAE processes across the Digital intelligence business
  • Working with Digital Intelligence security and wider business functions (i.e. HR, Legal, Ethics, Enterprise IT Security), ensure a holistic security response is applied to the review, triage and management security incidents across all Digital Intelligence-related businesses
  • Support the delivery of a Group-led Insider Risk programme across the Digital intelligence business, ensuring Insider Risk activity is consistent with related policies, procedures, and agreements
  • Ensure effective personnel security measures are in place to recognise and mitigate insider risks and protect BAE Systems (and Customer) critical assets and information
  • Make recommendations to improve security, implement protective and detective measures and identify solutions to prevent incident recurrence which address the root cause
  • Promote a collaborative and trusting Digital Intelligence Security community, building close and trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support and enable a holistic approach to personnel security and Insider risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a related discipline
  • Depth of experience and a good understanding of managing critical security incidents, including high consequence security investigations involving sensitive information and high levels of physical, reputational, legal and business risk
  • Management experience ideally in the security sector (law enforcement, military, national security, industry) providing security advice in a large organisation, including across organisational boundaries and in differing jurisdictions
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplined teams to achieve high level results
  • Previously delivering security management and protecting high value assets
  • Understanding of the Digital Intelligence business context in which the role operates as well as a good understanding of the wider national security, defence and government landscape
  • Understands the business strategy and priorities and delivers solutions that best meet them
