Job description

TPF Recruitment is supporting a well-established accountancy practice in Medway that is seeking to recruit a Personal Tax Senior into their successful tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a market-leading accountancy practice as part of a highly successful tax team. The role has a personal tax focus but also offers the chance to work in a mixed tax capacity, if of interest. You will support a range of clients, including Directors, Sole Traders, Partnerships, and HNWIs. The position provides opportunities to engage in interesting advisory, planning, and research projects, with excellent support for career progression and studies, if required. The role can be tailored to the candidate's aspirations.

As a Personal Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include:
  1. Providing a mix of personal tax compliance and advisory services, including personal tax returns, partnership tax returns, trust tax returns, ERS returns, ATED, P11D/PSA returns.
  2. Dealing with HMRC enquiries/disclosures and liaising directly with clients and HMRC.
  3. Handling client queries.
  4. Potential involvement in tax planning, IHT, and advisory work.
  5. Managing an interesting client portfolio.
  6. Opportunities to work on corporate tax projects.
Requirements for Personal Tax Senior in Rochester:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice, preferably between 2-5+ years.
  • Experience in preparing tax returns within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Qualified or part-qualified in AAT, ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA.
