JOB TITLE Personal Assistant

HOURS 4 hours a week (usually weekends; weekdays possible during school holidays)

RATE OF PAY £12.40 per hour

LOCATION LS17 8, Based initially at home and moving forward in the community

Purpose

To support a 7 year old boy who has autism and communication difficulties. He is an affectionate child who communicates with single words and benefits from encouragement to expand his language. This is a great opportunity to share meaningful experiences and to enhance your CV.

Main Duties

The PA will first support him at home to build a relationship, engaging in activities such as playing, drawing, singing nursery rhymes, etc. Over time, duties may include outdoor activities such as playing in the garden, visiting the park or soft play areas. The PA must have experience working with SEN children, be punctual, honest and fun-loving, and be mindful of my son’s safety at all times. The PA must supervise my son at all times and must not leave him alone.
