We are seeking a friendly, patient, and professional individual with full knowledge, experience, and understanding of Autism to assist in caring for my son. The Personal Assistant (PA) must hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle. First aid training is preferred.

Funding is available for 6 hours per week during the school term (Saturdays required) and 8 hours per week during school holidays.

The pay rate is £15.00 per hour.

We live in Staplehurst, Kent.

The assistance is mainly needed on weekends. My son enjoys outdoor and indoor activities, as he seeks Proprioceptive and Vestibular Sensory Input. He loves parks, swimming, indoor trampoline or play centres, and his gymnastics club Pegasus in Maidstone on Saturdays. He is a happy, energetic, and pleasant child to work with.

He also enjoys playing on his iPad and snacking on his favorite treats after shopping. He values routine.

My son has a basic level of communication, able to express basic needs and wants using 4-5 words or visual aids.

• He can show his emotions through body language and verbal cues.
• He has some safety awareness but requires careful supervision, especially near busy roads or car parks.
• He shows when upset via verbal and body language cues.
• He is sociable and enjoys being around other children but may need support with turn-taking and waiting.
• He manages most daily self-care routines independently.
