Overview

Personal Assistant to the Director of Education

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Director of Education to support Church of England schools and trusts.
  • Liaise with the Diocesan Board of Education (DBE) Staff Team and our Diocesan Schools Consultants.
  • Provide complex and confidential administrative support and ensure smooth operation of board and committee activities.
  • Occasionally work from home with the option to be based at the offices in Northampton, especially on days when courses and meetings of the Board and its committees take place.
Requirements / Qualities
  • Highly skilled, well organized, resilient and reliable with experience as a Personal Assistant.
  • Interest in Church school education and ability to handle sensitive information.
Safeguarding

The Diocesan Board of Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Staff are subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Employment Details
  • Salary: £35,000
  • Pension: 10% non-contributory pension payment per annum
  • Contract Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, or a part-time job share, 20 hours per week
  • Alternative arrangement considered: school term time contract plus three additional weeks in school holidays (pro rata)
  • Contract term: Permanent
  • Location: Northampton (hybrid option with potential home working)
