Overview

A Lady from Llanelli requires a Personal Assistant for 4 hours per week. She is an empathetic and caring individual who loves to spend time shopping, going out for food, spending time with family, going to arcades and visiting the cinema. She has a big love for animals and enjoys arts and crafts. She may struggle to participate socially and can have low mood; she needs someone who is creative, energetic, positive and chatty.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting her with shopping, going out for food, spending time with family and arcades, cinema.
  • Supporting her with arts and crafts.
  • Supporting the employer with encouragement in gaining independence
  • Supporting the employer to develop independent living skills
  • To provide companionship in the employer’s home, including engaging in conversation and providing social interaction
  • Encouraging the employer to attend appointments
  • Ensuring the employer’s safety at all times during working hours
  • Carrying out any other reasonable tasks as requested during working hours
  • Ensuring compliance with Data Protection Act
  • Be mindful of safeguarding issues, and feedback any concerns to Carmarthenshire County Council immediately on 01267 228751
  • Be responsible for contacting the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority should the employer need medical assistance

Job Working Environment

Working in the employer’s homes and supporting them to access facilities and community activities.

  10. You must be prepared to have business use on your vehicle insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours
  11. Be prepared to undergo training in order to best meet the employer's need.
