Job description

40 HOURS MON-FRI BETWEEN 9-5 (flexible by agreement)

Duties

• Driving my wheelchair‑adapted vehicle (manual gearbox) to educational, social, and leisure activities
• Supporting me at meal times
• Providing personal care as required
• Assisting with moving and handling safely
• Offering companionship – you will not just be a PA, but also a trusted support and friend

Roles and Responsibilities

• You must be a driver and confident driving a manual vehicle
• You must hold, or be willing to obtain, appropriate qualifications in:
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Moving and Handling
• You must be willing to undergo and pass an enhanced DBS check
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive working relationship at all times

Specific Requirements

• Male or female
• Physically fit
• Bright, cheerful, friendly, and outgoing personality
• Reliable, patient, and trustworthy
• Comfortable providing personal care and working closely with one individual
• Happy to work in a household with a large, very friendly dog
• Previous experience as a PA or support worker is helpful but not essential – the right personality and attitude are key
