Rate:£19 per hour for self employed or £15.21 for employed

Hours:6.5 hours per week

Contract:Permanent

Closing Date: 16th January 2026

A client in the Melton Mowbray area requires support with personal care and daily living.

Role Requirements

You will be required to provide support the client with:

  • personal care
  • assist District Nurse's with bowel care
  • nutritional needs (prepping food and feeding)
  • help with IT tasks, including online purchases
  • taking to appointments and activities
  • help with paying bills and look into quotes for insurance
  • domestic tasks including washing, ironing and maintaining a habitable home
  • record keeping and filing
  • in summer months, support with getting to the garden
  • community activities

6.5 hours per week, Thursday 09:00 - 15:30. There is potential for more hours when cover is needed for 2nd Personal Assistant.

The client has a ceiling hoist and would need to be hoisted for mobility.

You will be required to transport the client to appointments and places of interest in the client's mobility vehicle so you must have a full, clean, driving licence.

The client has a good sense of humour and many interests including looking into family history, being outdoors, going to see mother/family. The client also likes to read (unable to turn pages in books),and likes to watch films.

The client has multiple sclerosis and the Personal Assistant is required to work on a 1 :1 basis.

Previous care experience particularly around catheter care is desired, but not essential.

The role is subject to interview, references and a DBS check (paid for by the funding authority if you don't already have one).
