Job description

Personal Assistant required for a happy, energetic and lively 12-year-old boy who lives in the St Austell area.

He has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and he would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.

He would like someone to support him with his communication and social skills out in the community. He loves being outdoors. His interests are going to football matches, being around people, socialising and going on public transport.

A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community with and without his family.

Good rate of pay at £12.60 per hour.

This role is primarily for weekends and school holidays.

Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
