Job description
Overview

Daily support with social interaction for a client in the early stages of dementia. The opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, positive, proactive and ideally multi-lingual.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily social interaction support.
  • Assist with personal care four times a week.
  • Assist with meal preparation.
  • Provide medication prompts and monitor adherence as required.
  • Access community services on behalf of the client.
  • Travel as needed; a vehicle is required for the PA and a clean, full UK driving licence is required. 30 miles at 45p per mile will be paid by the client for travel for an employed PA.
Client Details
  • Main diagnosis: Early stages of dementia.
  • Communication: The client speaks Polish; a translation pen is used. The daughter is available to support if needed. Ability to speak Polish would be an advantage.
  • Interests: Cultural community services, conversation, and woodwork (e.g., mechanical cars and boats).
Hours and Scheduling

Preferred days/times: 10.5 hours per week. Either 1.5 hours a day or flexibly to allow access to culturally appropriate services (e.g., on Saturdays).
