Job summary

A local authority support organization in Greater London seeks a Personal Advisor on a temporary contract aimed at helping vulnerable young people transition to independent living. Qualifications

Job description

We are working closely alongside with local authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Personal Advisor on a 2.5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay

18.95 - 23.94 per hour

Summary

The Personal Advisor (PA) is a crucial role dedicated to ensuring the Local Authority meets its statutory obligations to young adults who were previously Looked After by the Council. The post-holder will deliver a statutory casework service to a cohort of up to 25-27 young people aged 18-24 years. This role focuses on supporting young people through the complex transition from care to successful independent living acting as a lead professional in coordinating a comprehensive multi‑agency support network to achieve positive life outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and regularly review individual Pathway Plans that address the full range of a young person's needs, potential and aspirations.
  • Provide high‑quality and comprehensive support to service users to empower them to plan work towards and achieve their care and health outcomes.
  • Take part in a daily duty service to provide an emergency response for care leavers or older looked‑after children when their allocated caseworker is unavailable. Plan and deliver group work sessions for young people with specific needs.
  • Maintain detailed accurate and timely electronic case records in line with departmental policy.
  • Proactively work to secure appropriate and suitable accommodation and ensure young people are aware of their rights, entitlements and access to financial support.
