The role

Phoenix is starting its journey on a long-term programme of work to simplify our product estate and benefit both customers and shareholders.

You will play an important role across the Product Simplification Programme through involvement in the development, documentation and approval of product simplification proposals from inception to implementation and be responsible for understanding the current product landscape, customer needs and business needs to help inform the impact of any policy simplification.

You will be working with a Product Manager and others within one of the workstreams, to analyse and document requirements, ensuring appropriate product knowledge has been sourced to inform product simplification proposals or alternative customer treatment strategies. Along with being involved in the value assessment analysis in relation to the proposed simplifications, from both a customer and shareholder perspective, working closely with the value assessment tool and team.

What We’re Looking For
  • Good understanding of Life, Pension and Workplace Pension products and a technical knowledge to liaise effectively with Product, Proposition, Commercial and With Profits SMEs
  • Proven track record of involvement in initiatives including across product management or product change and have a good understanding of the regulatory landscape, including relevant laws, regulations, and standards including Customer Duty
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to gather, analyse and interpret data, to draw meaningful conclusions and make informed recommendations
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically along with being able to collaborate across a variety of internal stakeholders throughout the business and across project workstreams
