Job summary

A well-established access equipment provider is seeking a PDI Technician to perform quality assurance checks on MEWPs before dispatch. The role is permanent and based in Oswestry, working Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2/3 in motor mechanics, IPAF certifications, and strong numeracy and literacy skills. Company benefits include a quarterly bonus, pension scheme, and 28 days holiday including bank holidays.

Qualifications

Job Role:

The PDI Technician will be responsible for performing quality assurance and safety checks on completed MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) before they are shipped to customer sites across Europe. The role involves inspecting for faults or damage, completing necessary documentation, cleaning and prepping machines, and ensuring they are ready for dispatch. You'll carry out full function tests, touch up any paint imperfections, and support your colleagues to meet tight deadlines and high-quality standards.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in motor mechanics or similar
  • IPAF 3a and 3b, LOLER, FLT certification, or other access industry qualifications
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues independently or within a team
