We are now recruiting a skilled PCV Technician to join our depot team.

The Role

As a PCV Technician, you\'ll carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on our fleet of buses. You\'ll play a vital role in keeping our vehicles roadworthy, compliant, and ready to serve the public.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on PCV vehicles.

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.

  • Prepare buses for MOTs and annual inspections in line with DVSA requirements.

  • Complete all job cards, defect sheets, and compliance paperwork accurately.

  • Ensure all work meets statutory and company health & safety standards.

  • Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment effectively.

  • Support the wider engineering team and contribute to a safe, clean depot environment.

  • Work flexibly across shifts, including weekends where required.


About You


  • Fully qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy/PCV Vehicle Mechanics).

  • Experience working with PCVs (buses/coaches) or HGVs.

  • Good knowledge of braking systems, engines, suspension, and electrical systems.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively.

  • Category D (PCV) driving licence desirable – training may be provided.

  • IRTEC accreditation or MOT tester licence an advantage.

  • A strong focus on teamwork, safety, and delivering high-quality work.
