Job summary

A leading electronics manufacturer in Newbury is seeking a Quality Inspector PCB to ensure quality standards throughout production. The ideal candidate will have experience in PCB manufacture and knowledge of IPC standards. Responsibilities include inspecting PCBs, operating AOI equipment, and assisting with quality assurance tasks. This role offers on-site parking and a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the manufacture of PCBs.
  • Knowledge of IPC Standards IPC-A-600.
  • Computer literate.
  • IPC Trained would be advantageous.

  • Inspect the quality of bare PCBs within a QA team.

  • Ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Liaise on any quality issues with engineers.
  • Assist with testing chemical processes.

Job description

Quality Inspector PCB. In this role you will be tasked with ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of production as well as ensuring deadlines are met.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a QA team to inspect the quality of bare PCB's reporting directly to Quality Manager
  • Operate AOI equipment
  • Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of production
  • Liaise with engineers and QA Manager on any quality issues / trends
  • Assist with First Article Inspection
  • Assist in test laboratory with testing chemical processes
  • Assist with Micro-sectioning and analysis fault finding
  • Work to IPC and ISO quality standards
Requirements
  • Essential: Experience in the manufacture of PCBs
  • Essential: Knowledge IPC Standards IPC-A-600
  • Experience in a quality related environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Reliable and conscientious
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • IPC Trained would be advantageous but not essential
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communicator
