Qualifications

Location: South Bristol (Onsite for training → Hybrid thereafter)
Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 (Pro Rata)
Hours: 3 Days Per Week * Term‑Time Only Option Available

Overview

REED Accountancy is working exclusively with a South Bristol education organisation to recruit a Payroll Technician. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys payroll accuracy, data manipulation, systems and reporting, and wants flexibility - including school‑run friendly hours and the option to work term‑time only.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process end‑to‑end payroll and pensions using Cintra
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and process starters, leavers & contractual changes
  • Lead monthly payroll checks and resolve queries
  • Support year‑end pension activities and statutory returns
  • Produce workforce reports for SLT and other stakeholders
  • Improve payroll processes, systems and SOPs
Skills & Experience
  • Payroll processing and pension administration experience
  • Good Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Confident with payroll systems (Cintra desirable)
  • Good knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
