Hours: 29.20 hours per week, All year Round

Salary – Grade 4 (point 23-31) Actual Salary: £27,547p.a. to £33,416p.a. (FTE £34,434p.a. to £41,771p.a.)

About this Role

Summit Learning Trust have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll & Pensions Officer to join the centralised finance team.

In return, we will offer you an opportunity to develop this important role within a vibrant and innovative trust which is seeking to improve educational standards for all our learners.

This role will be based at Cockshut Hill or Ninestiles School. However on occasion travel to other Trust sites and home working may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Play a key role in payroll and pension related activities for Summit Learning Trust.
  • Be responsible for liaising with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and pensions for all colleagues across our Trust.
  • Oversee pension administration, ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory regulations.
About You
  • Hold GCSE’s including Maths and English at level 4 or above or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience of working in payroll and/or pensions administration
  • Experience of processing reconciliation, statutory returns and supporting audits
  • Experience of working in education, public sector or multi-site organisation is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, pensions administration and statutory compliance
  • Good IT Skills, including Excel and payroll/HR Systems We are happy to explore flexible working, subject to the operational requirements of the role.
