Payroll Assistant (Hybrid)

Glasgow • Up to £35,000

I'm recruiting a Payroll Assistant for a well-established accountancy practice in Glasgow. This is a hands‑on role taking ownership of an existing payroll portfolio of around 80 clients (largest payroll circa 40 employees). If you enjoy end‑to‑end payroll, client contact, and working in a supportive practice environment, this is well worth a look.

The role
  • End‑to‑end payroll processing (weekly, monthly and some annual)
  • Managing a varied client payroll portfolio
  • CIS payrolls
  • Pension submissions and auto‑enrolment
  • HMRC reporting and year‑end processes
  • Sage Payroll and Excel
  • Managing payroll inboxes and general admin
  • Assisting with VAT returns where required
What I'm looking for
  • Proven payroll experience
  • Practice experience preferred, but not essential
