Payroll Assistant

Location: Harwich

Days / Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00-17:00

Are you detail-oriented, highly organised, and passionate about delivering exceptional support? We’re looking for a Payroll Assistant join our team and play a key role in ensuring smooth and accurate payroll operations.

What will you be doing?
  • Support the Payroll Manager and team with day-to-day tasks and ad-hoc priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with employees to keep payroll processes running seamlessly.
  • Maintain accurate filing and records in line with company guidelines and GDPR.
  • Handle incoming mail and calls, ensuring queries are managed professionally.
  • Assist with annual events such as pay reviews and bonus payments.
  • Input and verify data in Resource Link, including new starters, leavers, and changes.
  • Keep payroll-related personnel files up to date.
About You
  • Basic understanding of current HMRC payroll regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A customer-focused attitude with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
