Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely payments for both permanent and fixed-term staff.
  • Process monthly payrolls from start to finish.
  • Complete payroll reconciliations as required.
  • Manage personnel changes including starters and leavers.
  • Answer employee queries and rectify discrepancies.
  • Assist Payroll Manager with other tasks.

Payroll Assistant

£26,000 - £29,000 DOE | Accrington + Hybrid (2 days in Office and 3 days at Home) | Fantastic Culture & Benefits Package

Axon Moore are pleased to be working on behalf of a rapidly‑growing business as they look to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join the department. You will join a small and friendly team working in an exciting role.

The successful candidate will have a good level of payroll experience and will be familiar with payroll software and payroll related legislation. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to process large volumes of data quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Accurate and timely payments for permanent and fixed‑term staff
  • Processing of monthly payrolls from start to finish
  • Complete ad hoc payroll reconciliations as and when required
  • Process any personnel changes including starters and leavers
  • Answer queries from employees and take the necessary action to correct any discrepancy
  • Undertake any other tasks as requested by the Payroll Manager
