Main duties of the job
  • Working as part of a team to provide and maintain an efficient and effective cashiering service for patients and staff, in accordance with standing financial instructions. This involves administering all hospital, patients' monies and community teams' petty cash, and ensuring that the float/petty cash is balanced daily. A high level of attention to detail is essential.
  • Providing a benefits advisory service ensuring that service users have support with queries relating to Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment. The post holder will be expected to be aware of any changes in the benefit system and use this knowledge to assist service users.
  • Having day‑to‑day responsibility of the running of the Welfare Service, Safekeeping of service user’s property.
  • Administering the onsite parking system for NELFT staff and visitors.
  • The post holder will consistently deliver a ‘client focused’ service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941 - per annum, pro rata for part time).
