The role involves ensuring compliance with ISO standards, conducting audits, and maintaining the Q-Pulse database for quality assurance. The clinical laboratory team provides a High Quality Specialist Diagnostic Service to improve the Health Care of the people of Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
As part of the team the post holder will have developed knowledge, experience and competency in Quality Management Systems being able to work unsupervised in performing their role. It is a primary role of the post to monitor, train and provide specialist advice to staff on all aspects of the Quality Management System used by Gateshead Clinical Pathology Services, monitor the document control system of the Pathology Department using the Q-Pulse Quality Management Control System ensuring compliance with good work practices required for the standards of UKAS ISO15189 and ISO22870 accreditation.
