Role Summary

We are looking to appoint an Inclusion Manager (Pastoral Leader) to lead our on‑site alternative provision centre and mentoring base—a short‑term provision for students who have demonstrated challenging behaviour in our school. This essential role enables all students to access education and overcome challenges that are impeding their success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Manage time effectively, organise and prioritise workloads and work proactively to ensure objectives are fulfilled.
  • Deliver packages of support to students who are at risk of exclusion or are experiencing significant issues that are damaging their academic progression.
  • Help build on the breadth of the educational experiences we offer both in and out of the classroom.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience and knowledge of working with young people with challenging behaviour.
  • Capacity to recognise and respond assertively and compassionately to the needs of pupils.
  • Skills to use detailed knowledge of students as individuals to support pupils’ learning and provide emotional support for pupils with problematic personal lives.
  • Creative, innovative and flexible approach to raising expectations and achievement.
