Part-Time Teaching Assistant

Location: Hanwell, Ealing

Start Date: ASAP

Working Pattern: 2 days per week – Wednesdays and Fridays

Contract Type: Part-time, Job Share (with some flexibility)

We are delighted to be recruiting a committed, enthusiastic, and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our highly regarded and welcoming primary school in Hanwell, Ealing. This is a part-time job-share position, working two days per week (Wednesdays and Fridays), with some flexibility to change days occasionally by prior agreement.

This role is to start as soon as possible and offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a prestigious school with an outstanding reputation and a very low staff turnover, reflecting the positive, supportive, and collaborative working environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work within a Year 4 class, providing a combination of general classroom support and 1:1 support, including supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff to help ensure all pupils can access learning and make strong progress.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum.
  • Providing targeted 1:1 and small group support, including for pupils with SEN.
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policies.
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in Key Stage 2.
