Personal Assistant (PA) Job Description

Role Purpose

I am looking for a friendly individual for 4 hours a week (could possibly become more in future). I have Autism, Chung Jansen Syndrome (where symptoms include obesity, body dismorphia and mental health issues), Asthma, and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. I absolutely love dogs, football and am a big Newcastle United fan.

The support I am looking for someone that understands autism. Help with day to day living activities such as going to clubs, swimming, shopping, domestic cooking and maybe some walking (especially if there is a dog!) etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks (e.g., meal preparation, household management).
  • Provide mobility and accessibility support (accompanying to appointments, ensuring safe walking)
  • Support with administrative tasks (e.g., correspondence, scheduling, record-keeping)
  • Facilitate social and community engagement (e.g., attending events, supporting hobbies, advocacy activities)
  • Respect confidentiality, boundaries, and the employer’s autonomy
  • Adapt support to neurodiversity-informed and disability-aware practices

The position is 4 hours a week and I do have extra hours spare for extra when needed i.e., a day of cleaning or I want to go out for a day that has been preplanned.
