Part time KS2 Teacher - Maternity cover (0.6 FTE)

Working Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Pay Scale: MPS 1-6 [£32,916 to £51,047]

Start Date: Approximately November 2025

Location: Bridgwater - TA6

Academics Bristol are seeking an enthusiastic and committed part time KS2 Teacher to join the team at a welcoming, inclusive school for children aged 4-11 for a maternity cover post. You will deliver engaging lessons, set high expectations, and support the diverse needs of pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons for KS2 pupils.
  • Use varied teaching strategies to meet different learning needs and styles.
  • Maintain an inclusive classroom environment promoting respect and cooperation.
  • Monitor and assess progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.
  • Uphold the teacher standards and demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge.
