Overview

Ledbury Nursing is part of Shaw healthcare. We are seeking a Part-time Catering Assistant to join the team in Ledbury. You will work under the direction of the Chef as part of a Catering Team to ensure that delicious home cooked meals are prepared and services to the Residents are provided. You will be part of a team that is committed to delivering high standards of care and service for our service users.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the chef with food preparation
  • Independently prepare hot meals and sandwiches for residents
  • Load and unload dishwasher; wash up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher
  • Clean kitchen and equipment
  • Collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors
  • Clear tea trolleys where applicable
  • Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear of refuse
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Reasonable requests, as instructed by the Senior Chef/Chef
  • Ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met
  • Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and Regulations

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Working Hours: Part time - 15 hours per week. Shifts: 4 week rota 17–20 hours. Required to work alternative weekends.
