As our Paraplanner you will typically:
- Participate in and deliver comprehensive financial research, within set SLAs, on products and investments on an independent basis using company‑approved research tools
- Prepare and deliver bespoke investment reports, within set SLAs, to clients through the analysis of existing investment portfolios and comparison against suitable benchmarks
- Prepare and interpret complex plan information with a view to completing transfer analysis
- Prepare complex financial planning reports, within set SLAs, in multiple financial planning areas
- Research and review, where necessary, new and existing legislation and technical/product information to aid in the role that is performed
- Conduct thorough research where necessary and refer to senior team members, where needed
- Participate in firm research projects, adhering to set deadlines, as and if required
What we are looking for in our ideal Paraplanner:
- Diploma in Financial Planning
- Demonstrated knowledge, interest and experience in personal financial planning and in the construction of financial planning research and suitability reports
- Experience in an IFA environment, demonstrating quality communications of constructive feedback
- A high standard of written and numerical skills
- Strong report‑writing skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude in Microsoft Office
Key Risk Responsibilities:
- Completion of assigned tasks, ensuring that SLAs are adhered to
- Delivery of accurate and thorough research, calculations, New Business Investment Reports and FPRs to advisers
- Contribution to technical and regulatory development of advisers and/or staff on a specific case basis
- Contribution to technical and regulatory development of trainee paraplanners
- Conduct thorough research where necessary and refer to senior team members, where needed
